"My Cloven Feet" is a collection of short stories by Shreveport, LA-based writer Chris Jay. The 70-page collection contains five short works of fiction. Cover artwork by Shannon Palmer, design and layout by Sara Hebert.

As a writer, Jay's voice is a unique blend of "Magical Realism" and "Southern Gothic," reflecting a panoply of influences as varied as Gabriel García Márquez and Breece D'J Pancake.

Stories contained in this collection are:

"It All Adds Up" - a grocery store is the setting for a surrealist detective story, in which the culprit may be a tribe of Native American hunter-gatherers.

"Seven for the Left Hand" - seven bizarre accidents befall the residents of Springhill, Louisiana.

"A Solid Gold Menorah in the Other" - a recovering drug addict discovers his true calling: kidnapping dogs.

"Winter Medley" - a sexy White House mail screener, a telepathic refrigerator, and an insomniac loner cross paths.

"True Story" - a young Sci-Fi fan calls astronaut Buzz Aldrin a liar and pays the price.
